Each year United Way of King County recognizes a prestigious group of select organizations and individuals with our Spirit of Caring Awards. Winners are recognized within their industries and communities as leaders in making King County a better place.

We give the Outstanding Employee Campaign Award to companies that meet one or more criteria based on three key campaign strategies: raise awareness, increase participation and increase the average gift.
Outstanding Employee Campaign Award winners for the 2006-2007 campaign >>

  • Exceptional giving to United Way of King County
    At least 50 percent of all employees' gifts go directly to United Way of King County, and contributions increase by at least 6 percent from the last campaign.
  • Increased participation
    Employee participation increases by at least 5 percent, and at least 50 percent of all employees participate in the campaign.
  • Leadership giving
    At least 5 percent of all employees give $1,000 or more to United Way of King County.
