This section of the Community Assessment provides information about the population of King County, Washington, its subregions and other key data that provides context for human services planning across impact areas.

All data and demographics for this section have been compiled using secondary sources. The 2006 population estimates and five-year projections are compiled using the 2006 Claritas data set. Other sources including the 2000 Decennial Census, 2005 American Community Survey, and Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction (Washington) are used to add context and expand upon the core data set.
