Volunteer and take action against hunger!

Together, we can end hunger for good. Here are some ways you and your friends, family and co-workers can share your time and talents to help end hunger.

Find hundreds more opportunities on the volunteering section of United Way of King County’s website.

·        Grow and harvest food at Marra Farm.  

·        Work with low-income and marginalized to create gardens and gardeners through The Just Garden Project.

·        Garden with seniors at the Brighton apartments in the Rainier Valley.

·        Be a lunch helper at the Southeast Seattle Senior Center. 

·        Serve dinner to homeless youth at Orion Center. 

·        Repackage bulk food at Food Lifeline in Shoreline or at the Northwest Harvest warehouse in Kent.

·        Sort donations at the Issaquah Food Bank, West Seattle Food Bank or one close to where you live.

·        Join the University District Food Bank’s home delivery team and bring groceries to hungry people in Northeast Seattle.

·        Be a Meals on Wheels driver in Renton and help homebound seniors have healthy food to eat.

Did you know?

One in eight people is enrolled in the Federal Food Stamp Program. Nearly half are children.
