3 ways to prepare for a great campaign

It's never too early to start thinking about your United Way of King County workplace giving campaign, so we have put together some tips to help you organize your thoughts and help you take the plunge.

  1. Meet with your United Way of King County contact this summer to help us learn what will make your campaign a success. We want to find the right combination of services to meet your company's needs and your United Way resource development officer contact is the best person to make that connection. If you're not sure who to talk to, contact Customer Service at 206.461.5005 or customerservice@uwkc.org.
  2. Take the pulse on your company's philanthropic culture. What is exciting and interesting to your co-workers in our community? Is there a strong culture of volunteerism? Your resource development officer can help match your co-workers' interests with real United Way of King County results. We can also help you organize activities like volunteer projects or agency tours to help get your fellow employees engaged in the campaign and in their community.
  3. Form a committee to help you! The more, the merrier, especially when it comes to your United Way of King County campaign. The talents and ideas of many people can create a robust and diverse campaign that will appeal to even more people. Not to mention, it will help you manage this important task!

We hope these tips will give you something to think about this summer as you begin to consider your plans for your fall campaign. As always, please contact your United Way representative or Customer Service if you have any questions.
