Campaign Coordinators of the Year For outstanding individual employees who coordinate a workplace campaign

Holly Ellis Brown's focus and organizational skills culminated in her rolling out a comprehensive campaign plan for Blue Nile including pre-campaign, and post-campaign strategies, merely two days after the campaign coordinator conference. The plans included multiple kick-off events, detailed correspondence and the creation of a signature event, the Blue Nile internal auction. The auction was emceed by CEO Mark Vadon and was a wild success, raising $13,175 for United Way of King County. Thank you, Holly, for showing exceptional leadership and running a great campaign!

United Way CEO Jon Fine and Tina Wissmar from Foss Maritime
|
Tina Wissmar did a great job working with upper management at Foss Maritime to really take this year's campaign to the next level. Together they stressed to employees the importance of volunteering and how it is key to Foss Maritime's culture. The fundraising campaign was a great success with 87% of all contributions going directly to United Way of King County. Under Tina's leadership, Foss was able to beat their workplace goal with more than a week left to go in the campaign. Great job, Tina!

Dan Davis from Highline Public Schools
|
Dan Davis had no easy task running a campaign for Highline Public Schools. But it was a task he personally requested. Dan started at the top and garnered support from Superintendent John Welch who sent a letter of endorsement to the District's 32 schools. Dan worked with each school principal to appoint volunteers to serve as ambassadors. Working with each of these ambassadors he organized events featuring United Way speakers, material trainings and campaign strategies. Thank you, Dan, for all of your work!

Dave Parent from KeyBank
|
Though Dave Parent has been the KeyBank campaign coordinator for more than five years, he always finds a way to keep their campaign fresh and has steadily increased participation. This dedication and belief comes through in his communication to employees and top management, and it shows in the results. Dave has moved overall giving to a four year high, while increasing the amount of dollars given directly to United Way of King County. His work goes beyond workplace giving. This year he helped to increase the KeyBank corporate gift which supports United Way's Individual Development Account Program. Beyond all of that, KeyBank even sponsored this year's Free Tax Preparation Campaign. These are two of United Way of King County's main anti-poverty programs. Congratulations and thank you, Dave!
