Unite to End Homelessness at the Fremont Fair

United Way of King County and Solid Ground will join forces again this year at the Fremont Fair June 16-17. United Way will have a special area at the fair where people can come together to learn more about our work to end homelessness, to sign up to get personally involved in finding solutions and to create "welcome home" signs for people moving off the streets and into permanent housing. We have two special volunteering opportunities for this event that you can offer to employees at your company.

  • Volunteer to build a house. Join United Way of King County, Solid Ground and Habitat for Humanity of East King County to build a house for a deserving family. No special skills needed-training will be provided. Special thanks to Google and Master Builders Association for generously sponsoring the house build.
  • Staff the fair's community giving stations. Help people find information about ending homelessness and hand out free stickers to fairgoers. This is a great way to talk with people about homelessness and how we can end it in our community.
