Free parenting and early learning workshops April 13-15
United Way of King County is proud to be a sponsor of Seeds of Compassion, an unprecedented gathering to engage the hearts and minds of our community by highlighting the vision, science, and programs of early social, emotional, and cognitive learning.
The event is a great complement to United Way's work to prepare children for success in school and in life.
Great news if you were unable to get tickets for Seeds of Compassion! There are dozens of workshops, ceremonies, and activities all day Sunday and Monday, plus Tuesday afternoon at Seattle Center. Here are just a few of the topics that will be covered:
- Early Childhood: Advocacy, Policy and Social Change
- Promoting First Relationships: Nurturing Parents to Nurture Their Children
- Beyond Behavior Management: The Six Life Skills Kids Need to Thrive in Today's World
- Raising Healthy Children: Building Strong Connections Between Children, Families and Schools
All workshops are free and open to the public on a first-come first-served basis. For more information, please visit http://wiki.seedsofcompassion.org/workshops.
