Healthy Aging Summit May 31

United Way of King County is partnering with The Washington Alliance for Healthy Aging to present the Healthy Aging Summit on May 31 at the Greater Tacoma Convention and Trade Center. The keynote speaker is Washington State Health Officer Maxine Hayes, MD, MPH.

The morning will feature workshops on health issues of older adults from diverse communities. The afternoon workshops will focus on solution-oriented issues including cultural competency and how health literacy and racism affect health disparities. The closing keynote will be provided by Phil Lane Jr., M.Ed, MPA, and CEO of United Indians of All Tribes Foundation.
