Becoming a Grantee

Thank you for expressing interest in participating in the Fiscal Year 2011 funding application process through United Way of King County. Please read the following background information and funding requirements carefully before starting the application process.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION

United Way of King County is soliciting applications for funding for the upcoming fiscal year, which begins July 1, 2010. Eligible agencies can apply for funding for the following open outcomes:

All agencies that meet United Way's general funding requirements may apply for funding.

UNITED WAY GENERAL FUNDING REQUIREMENTS

To be eligible for United Way of King County funding, agencies must meet ALL of the following criteria:

  • Agency is certified as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization
  • Agency does not engage in discrimination based on age, gender, race, sexual orientation, national origin, religion or presence of a disability in the delivery of services
  • Agency will comply with all of United Way of King County's contractual obligations including: outcome and client demographic reporting, submission of annual audit or financial review, have an up-to-date listing with the 2-1-1 system and any other requirements that are identified
  • Agency is willing to certify compliance with DOCPatriot Act requirements

HOW TO APPLY

New United Way funding applicants:

  1. Create an e-C IMPACT Account. Follow the instructions through the Agency Registration section and the Agency Declarations and Outcome Selection.
  2. Submit an Intent to Apply form online through your e-C IMPACT account by November 30, 2009 for access to the application starting December 7, 2009.
  3. Log in to your e-C IMPACT account on December 7, 2009 to fill out an application for funding.

Returning United Way funding applicants:

  1. Sign on to your e-C IMPACT account.
  2. Submit an Intent to Apply form online through your e-C IMPACT account by November 30, 2009 for access to the application starting December 7, 2009.
  3. Log in to your e-C IMPACT account on December 7 to fill out an application for funding.

Agencies registered with e-C IMPACT will automatically receive notification of future funding opportunities. If you do not wish to apply for funding at this time, but would like to receive notifications of future funding opportunities, please email us at communityservices@uwkc.org.
