United Way of King County contracts health and human service organizations to deliver specific identified outcomes within our eight impact areas; Out of the Rain, School Readiness (Birth to Six), Youth & Families, Employment, Older Adults, System Support, Health, Mental Health & Substance Abuse, and Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault. We typically provide funding for a two year cycle and anticipate launching our next allocation process in late fall 2006, for funding that will take effect on July 1, 2007.
Applications for the two year period beginning July 1, 2007 have been accepted. Funding decisions will be announced in late spring. The allocations in each area are guided by Community Impact Plans, which highlight the population served, key priorities and strategies, as well as desired outcomes. The plans are available online for your review.
