Each year, United Way of King County recognizes a prestigious group of select organizations and individuals with our Spirit of Caring Awards. Winners are recognized within their industries and communities as leaders in making King County a better place.
Outstanding Employee Campaign Award
We give the Outstanding Employee Campaign Award to companies that meet one or more of the following criteria based on three key campaign strategies: raise awareness, increase participation and increase the average gift:
- Exceptional giving to United Way of King County
At least 50 percent of all employees' gifts go directly to United Way of King County, and contributions increase by at least six percent from the last campaign. - Increased participation
Employee participation increases by at least five percent, and at least 50 percent of all employees participate in the campaign. - Leadership Giving
At least five percent of all employees give $1,000 or more to United Way of King County.
