Take the United Way of King County Hunger Challenge

Translate this page:
Can you feed yourself for only $7 a day for five days? This is the maximum food stamp benefit (known as the Basic Food Program in Washington) for an individual. This challenge is an exercise of empathy—to live in someone else's shoes for one week and learn how you can help fight hunger in our community. You can also choose to do the challenge with your partner or family. More information for group participation is below.

Sign up to be a part of this week-long movement and eat on only $7 a day, then share your story on our blog. The rules for the challenge are below.

I pledge to join the Hunger Challenge starting January 25 and experience firsthand how it feels to survive on $7 a day.
