Contract Agreement
As a member of the Corporate Volunteer Council, companies agree to: Pay annual membership dues of $150, payable to United Way of King County. Designate an employee to serve as the main contact for CVC-related communications, including but not limited to emails, invoices, and phone calls. Attend quarterly meetings and committee meetings as available. (Tele-conferencing is made available as much as possible). Participate in occasional online surveys or focus groups conducted by The Volunteer Center to assess volunteerism activity levels and impact in the business sector and the community. In the spirit of collaboration, share thoughts, ideas, and expertise about employee volunteerism through avenues provided by The Volunteer Center and CVC. The Volunteer Center agrees to: Serve as a primary resource to CVC members wanting to start, strengthen, or develop new elements of their employee volunteer program. Provide relevant programming and information to CVC members, including networking and professional development opportunities. Facilitate mentoring relationships between companies to foster collaboration and improve upon best practices in the field of employee volunteer program management and corporate community involvement. Serve as an advocate for the importance of workplace volunteer programs and other forms of corporate community involvement, and annually recognize one CVC member with our Outstanding Employee Volunteer Program Award.
