AT&T - West Region    
AT&T West Region, where 76 employees got "down and dirty" for a worthwhile environmental cause. Employees cleared paths, built fences, as well as saved trees and native plants by attacking encroaching bushes and aggressive plants within 50 acres of this neglected park. Before and after results were dramatic — within only 30 minutes of each five-15 person team working a designated area, the results were remarkable.   Day of Caring Slide Show

Holland America Line    
Kinnear Park is a lovely old world park on the west side of Queen Anne Hill. The Holland America team worked in Lower Kinnear Park by the tennis courts. They spent the day beautifying beds-weeding and mulching, removing ivy, laurels, and other invasive plants. On Friday September 21st, a team of 7 individuals from Sales Enablement & Excellence (listed at base) came together to help Bothell, WA based Northshore Youth and Family Services reclaim their property from invasive plants and weeds. Included removal of non-native invasive plant species such as English ivy. English ivy has invaded Seattle's urban forests and threatens the health of native trees by competing with them for nutrients, sunlight and water.
