A mentor develops a one-on-one relationship with a young person to be a trusted friend, a good listener and a positive role model. This can take an academic focus or strictly social.
Tutoring
Tutors work with young people mainly to focus on academics, helping with homework or studying skills, for example.

National Mentoring Night with the Sonics
Sunday, January 28th, 5PM - Key Arena
The Washington State Mentoring Partnership and the Department of Social and Human Services invite you to the National Mentoring Month with the Sonics. This courtside pre-game event will highlight Sonics & Storm friends, and local dignitaries speaking on how mentoring has influenced their lives.
