MLK Day of Service was a huge success! More than 2,800 volunteers honored Dr. King’s legacy of compassion and service. Over MLK weekend and on MLK Day, they volunteered at 138 projects at 90 nonprofits across King County. Thank you to everyone who made it happen.

United Way’s MLK Day of Service has grown for 6 years straight. What gives? Our community does. People here care greatly about social justice, supporting each other, and just plain ol’ doing good. Makes us proud!

What did those 2,800+ volunteers do?

  • Served meals to people experiencing homelessness
  • Created and filled birthday bags for low-income children
  • Restored neglected green spaces
  • Waxed skis for kids with special needs
  • And tons more!

Does giving back sound good to you? Find your perfect way to volunteer and spread the love year-round.

We love our Martin Luther King Day volunteers!
