United Way's Free Tax Preparation Campaign has finished for 2013.
If you're interested in volunteering next tax season, or if you need help preparing your taxes, checking your refund status or getting a copy of your return, please see the links below.

Filing taxes can be tough, especially for people who aren't sure which deductions they qualify for, whose first language isn’t English, or who have trouble because of their age or a disability. United Way’s Free Tax Preparation Campaign is here to help!

The Free Tax Preparation Campaign runs from January to April. This program helps people secure all the refunds and credits that they’re eligible for, including the Earned Income Tax Credit. Services are really free—no hidden fees or charges. With this money in pocket, people can better keep food on the table and a roof overhead.

At all of our tax locations, IRS-certified volunteers file taxes electronically so clients get refunds fast. Multilingual volunteers are ready to help at several sites. People also can sign up for public benefits and get help with the FAFSA (the application for college financial aid), among other services.

In 2013, United Way's 700 Free Tax Prep Campaign volunteers prepared 14,900 tax returns. This secured clients $22 million in tax refunds.
