Bachelor Couples Unite For At-Risk Youth

By United Way of King County, on April 17, 2017 | In Helping Students Graduate

Bachelor Nation, your favorites are back. And we don’t mean on Bachelor in Paradise (that’s still a thing?).

Three awesome couples will be at Safeco Field at the May 13 All-Star Softball Classic and standing up for at-risk youth in Seattle and King County.

The All-Star Softball Classic won’t be your typical Bachelor reunion. Batting practice instead of awkward limo introductions. Home runs instead of hometown dates. High-fives instead of a final rose ceremony. And Macklemore will be there, with Seahawks, Sounders FC, Mariners, Reign FC and tons more celebrities, instead of dear Chris Harrison and that engagement ring guy.

Sound like a carefree family-friendly afternoon? I repeat, family-friendly? That’s because it will be.

Tickets are just $15 and kids 14 and under are free. Plus you can run the bases with your kids after the game, and there will be plenty of chances to donate to support local youth struggling with homelessness. It’s an all-around great Seattle day. Don’t miss it! Buy your tickets today.

Which Bachelors Are In For At-Risk Youth?

Desiree and Chris Siegreid, The Bachelorette, season 9

Sean and Catherine Lowe, The Bachelor, season 17

Jason and Molly Mesnick, The Bachelor, season 13

United Way is thrilled to have such great Bachelor dedication on such a serious issue in the Seattle community and beyond: at-risk youth struggling with homelessness or on the edge of it.

Every year in King County, 5,000 youth don’t have a stable place to live. They’re homeless or couch-surfing or a mix of both. But growing up is tough enough without adding homelessness. So join us, join Bachelor Nation, and let’s turn home runs into homes for at-risk youth at the All-Star Softball Classic.
