Take part in an exciting event that raises funds for 43 programs and services that benefit more than 20\,000 individuals and families across our region. This event will take place on at the Seattle Convention center on the 5th floor. \n  \nTogether our small efforts create a large impact especially in today’s political climate where the need is at it’s greatest with inflation and recent attacks against the Latino and Hispanic population. \n  \nTasks will include: Decorating the dining room\, helping set up the silent auction\, set up the registration tables\, and helping with the photo booth. \n  \nLet’s celebrate culture and fight toward equality as we help El Centro de la Raza prepare for another season of giving back to community. \n  \nSign up to our Emerging Leaders 365 newsletter for more ways to start your year of impact!

DESCRIPTION:Did you know that when school lets out for the summer\, many children lose access to the meals\, supplies\, and enrichment they need to thrive? To help bridge that gap\, United Way of King County is partnering with Communities in Schools of Greater King County (CIS) to launch Pack the Bus\, a new corporate and community volunteer initiative supporting students and families during the summer months. \nVolunteers will assemble over 2\,500 summer support kits for students across King County\, including select schools in districts such as Seattle\, Lake Washington\, Issaquah\, and Renton. Kits will include food\, hygiene supplies\, activities\, and resources designed to keep students nourished\, healthy\, and engaged all summer long.
