SUMMARY:Volunteer Monthly Project: Delridge Farmer's Market
DESCRIPTION:Thank you for your interest. This Project is Full but we still need volunteers on October 8 at the Seattle Convention Center for El Centro de la Raza!  \n  \nIn Delridge Seattle\, the African Community Housing and Development organization\, opened a reinvented farmer’s market in a direct response to the lack of fresh and culturally appropriate food available in the area\, In fact there is no grocery store within a mile of the city center. The market does not require a vendor fee and actively supports Latin and BIPOC businesses with a model that no food is left behind! \n  \n\nWe will be assisting vendors with tearing down their booths\, packing and distributing free produce bags for food insecure families\, liaising with guests\, petting cute dogs\, and more.\n\n  \n  \nThis opportunity is for young professionals. By participating you will receive similar opportunities emailed to you bimonthly. Each opportunity supports United Way of King County’s mission to create racially just communities where all people have homes\, students graduate\, and families are financially stable. \n  \nYou will need to wear masks and show proof of vaccination to participate in this opportunity. \n  \n
