Jobs Connect gives people who are homeless the gift of employment

By United Way of King County, on December 28, 2016 | In Fighting Homelessness

Think it’s easy to go to a job interview with everything you own in tow? Could you make it through the day without a meal?  Would you show up to work without having taken a shower?

These are things people who are homeless struggle with every day. Thanks to our Jobs Connect program, we’re removing some of those barriers. Hundreds of people have been connected to employment through the new program. They get a warm breakfast, have a place to store their belongings during the day and get a ride to work.

Check out what they have to say about having meaningful employment! Thanks to KOMO 4 news for helping spread the word. Are you an employer looking for motivated employees, eager to work? Let us know at wwilson@uwkc.org
