With thousands of youth in Seattle & King County out of school and not working, the 100,000 Opportunities Initiative is hosting an Opportunity Fair. It will be a day of connection and empowerment, both to more than 20 leading companies, and a full suite of services, workshops, and inspiration to help break down barriers for youth. Watch this inspirational video from a recent Phoenix Opportunity Fair and just try to not be inspired to join in.

But good news: You can help!

UPDATE May 2: We’ve hit our volunteer goal. Thank you!
We are looking for volunteers to support the Opportunity Fair on Thursday, May 5 between 7 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. (two different shifts available!). Volunteer roles include: helping youth plan their day and access resources, check-in, navigators, conducting mock interviews, coaching for resumes and applications, and generally creating a welcoming and supportive environment. It all takes place at the Century Link Field Event Center.

Feedback from the Phoenix Opportunity Fair:

“I’ve been to job fairs, but they’re just not like this.”

“I didn’t expect to come here and get a job. It was on the spot!”

“Today is the start to a new life; today is adulthood.”

Just a couple of hours of input and support can make a lifetime of difference. Sign up today!
