#LiveUnited

Dear neighbor,

July means a new fiscal year here at United Way of King County, and we have much to celebrate! Thanks to our donors, volunteers, and community supporters like you, we’re ensuring our neighbors have access to housing, food security, educational opportunities, and financial stability.

The regular season for our Free Tax Preparation Campaign has wrapped up, and thanks to more than 600 volunteers, we helped over 13,000 of our neighbors keep $16.5M of their hard-earned money! Check out our summer impact report here and catch all the highlights.

SHOW UP, SHOW OUT!

 A UNITED IMPACT

We’re thrilled to share that Project LEAD—United Way of King County’s board training program for people of color—is finding a new home with our friends at Leadership Tomorrow.

This is a bittersweet moment. For over 30 years, Project LEAD has been one of United Way’s most beloved and equity-centered programs, empowering more than 1,300 BIPOC leaders to step into nonprofit board service and transform decision-making spaces across our region. While it’s hard to see the program leave our organization, we know this move will allow it to grow, thrive, and continue making a meaningful impact for years to come.

Leadership Tomorrow has long been a trusted leader in developing cross-sector changemakers—making this a powerful alignment of values, vision, and community commitment. We’re incredibly proud of Project LEAD’s legacy and can’t wait to see what’s ahead.
