#LiveUnited

Hi neighbor,

This Indigenous Peoples’ Day—and every day—we honor our Native communities’ strength, resilience, and leadership. Did you know, United Way of King County supports this commitment by funding organizations led by and for Indigenous peoples on the traditional lands of the Duwamish and Coast Salish Peoples?

“Every day is the right time to honor Native culture, strength and fortitude. Every day is an opportunity to tell the world: We are here. We are still here!”

—First Nations Development Institute

 A UNITED IMPACT

This past season, United Way’s Free Tax Preparation Campaign helped 18,200 neighbors access $17 million in tax refunds and credits—vital cash that covered food, rent, childcare, and other essentials. Our team also launched the My Free Taxes Resource Hub to allow statewide partners to share resources to improve programming across the state.

Over 500 volunteers power this life-changing impact. Join the team this fall—gain new skills, meet incredible people, and help neighbors keep more of what they earn. No experience needed; we’ll train and IRS-certify you!
