SEATTLE—It has been brought to our attention that a racially motivated incident occurred in our region in which the accuser was wearing a United Way “Live United” t-shirt.

While the identity of the individual in the video is unknown, we condemn in the strongest terms the actions against a person of color who was just trying to do their job. No one deserves this type of treatment.

At United Way of King County, we do not condone this type of abhorrent behavior, which goes against everything we stand for, including our values of inclusion, compassion, racial justice and to Live United.
