Conversations for Change: Keeping People Housed with Michelle Merriweather

By United Way of King County, on February 8, 2025 | In Conversations for Change

At United Way of King County, we host Conversations for Change, a Zoom series in which we invite brilliant community leaders to speak about issues affecting our community. This series provides an opportunity to hear from local experts, ask questions, and engage with your neighbors in meaningful conversation.

On January 29, we invited Michelle Merriweather, the President and CEO of Urban League of Metropolitan Seattle, to speak about how we can all work to keep people housed. Together, we learned about what United Way and its partners across King County are doing to prevent homelessness before it even begins and left with a deeper understanding of how community-driven solutions like housing stability support, eviction prevention, rental assistance, and advocating for tenants’ rights can keep families housed and contribute to progress.

Did you miss the conversation? No worries! The full conversation is available on YouTube below.

Conversations for Change is a completely FREE virtual event series that typically happens during lunch.
