Join Us For Happy Hour and Hellos at Eight Bells Winery!
United Way of King County’s Happy Hour and Hellos has become one of our area’s signature events for young professionals to network and learn about how we are addressing issues impacting our community.
And we’re back at it again.
Join us on June 10 for our next Happy Hour and Hellos event, which is slated for the Eight Bells Winery in Maple Leaf, from 6 PM to 8:30 PM.
The Happy Hour and Hellos networking series allows professionals to mix and mingle over refreshments, learn more about United Way’s local impact, and ways to get involved.
Happy Hour and Hellos are sponsored by United Way’s Emerging Leaders 365, a group of more than 10,000 young adults who are passionate about engaging in a year of impact to support their neighbors. Emerging Leaders support local charities and small businesses and volunteer at nonprofit organizations.
Past Happy Hour and Hellos events have been held with the Seattle Mariners at T-Mobile Park, at Nordstrom, and at the Amazon Spheres.
“Not only are you giving back by coming out to these events, but you’re also meeting people who care about other people, who care about making our world a little bit better, one place at a time,” said Taylor Roberson, United Way associate director of marketing. “When you get people in the same room with the same heart, it makes for a really good time. It’s a vibe.”
The June 10 event will feature music, refreshments, and prizes at Eight Bells, a nautically themed, urban winery located at 10000 Lake City Way on Thornton Creek. The event will feature food from Indigenous-owned café and food truck Off the Rez, music and entertainment from Seattle’s DJ Listo, speeches from United Way staff, and a silent auction.
Items slated to be auctioned include:
• Tickets to Chateau Ste. Michelle’s Summer Concert Series (any concert!)
• Tickets to a Seattle Sounders game
• Nintendo gift basket
• Specialty Mariners bobbleheads
The event will also spotlight a short, inspiring program highlighting local education initiatives supporting children and families across King County.
