National Volunteer Month is April

So you’re new to Seattle,

Welcome to our unique city! As with many great cities, we thrive on community. That’s why United Way of King County is excited to partner with The Seattle Chamber of Connection! Join us to roll up your sleeves and work alongside your neighbors to create a more equitable future for everyone!

Engaging in community service not only boosts individual well-being but also strengthens every part of society. Volunteering has been shown to reduce stress, enhance life satisfaction, and promote mental health. Beyond personal benefits, service fosters bridging social capital, which creates connections across social, racial, and economic divides.

Join fellow participants of Chamber of Connections in April at a community service project that helps make a difference for our neighbors. Volunteers come together for 2-3 hours at a local non-profit to learn more about the issue and participate in activities to help further the cause, while building social connections with peers. Past volunteer projects have been in partnership with Food Lifeline, Seattle Pea Patch, Solid Ground, El Centro de la Raza, and more!

Details of this April’s project are being finalized with the partner agency. Add your name to be notified of about the opportunity in the next few weeks.

Thank you for your raising your hand to give back to your new community! We can’t wait to see you in April!
