Facilitated by Gordon McHenry, Jr., United Way of King County President & CEO, this virtual panel will feature Sean Goode (Choose180), Regina Elmi (Supporting Partnerships in Education and Beyond), and Marshaun Barber (Reclaiming our Greatness). Learn more about the first year of the Collective, how we’re centering community and where we’re going next!
The Black Community Building Collective started in fall 2020 as a participatory funding approach to invest in Black-led organizations. This funding model cedes decision-making power around funding decisions to the people closest to the need. This group of 15 Black nonprofit leaders—who know their communities best—will determine how this funding is directed in order to support equitable recovery and long-term viability of King County’s Black community
This is a fundraising event and standard tickets are $10 with all proceeds going directly to the Black Community Building Collective. If you are unable to provide payment, please select the ‘no cost ticket’ to join us.
Please RSVP by 6/14
