Imagine a pile of 2.7 million children’s books spread across the state of Washington. Now imagine serving more than 850,000 kids with those books and other literary programs. Seems like an impossible challenge, right? Thankfully, it’s a challenge that Page Ahead has been rising to since 1990. It’s the #1 provider of children’s books and services in Washington and focuses on helping kids from low-income families bump up their reading level and gain the English skills they need to succeed in school.
There’s nothing better than curling up with a good book and a cup of warm cider (or a PSL, anyone?) on a crisp fall day, and Emerging Leaders will join Page Ahead to make sure the next generation of learners has the chance to do just that. We’ll be supporting the organization in its work – organizing and bundling books, tidying the facility, etc. – so that it can spend the next 25 years supporting another million kids across the state.
