More than 3,000 homeless and displaced children depend on Seattle Schools for their weekday meals. While hunger and homelessness remain complicated problems, making sure school children have enough to eat is relatively easy. That’s where Backpack Brigade comes in.
Every week, Backpack Brigade distributes hundreds of weekend meal-packs to over 20 Seattle-area schools through the efforts and support of volunteers and sponsors. Come help set up this awesome organization in it’s new location!
Emerging Leaders will need to do inventory, move products, set up tables, and clean the new location. Join your peers in hanging signs, putting out posters, and really get Backpack Brigade all set up to take on fall hunger with weekend hunger bags.
