United Way’s Fuel Your Future work aims to connect kids to nutritious food—during the school year and beyond. We know that summer time can put an added strain on low-income families whose kids receive free and reduced-price lunches during the school year. To help ease the burden—and bring nutritious options to families near their homes—we provide meals and fun learning activities at more than 250 sites throughout King County each summer. Leveraging untapped federal dollars and a generous grant from No Kid Hungry, we make donor dollars go further.
We’re excited to kick-off the free Summer Meals program with a free field day for kids and families at Roxhill park! Volunteers will help provide a welcoming, interactive, fun environment for kids and keep them engaged through the day. You’ll be staffing exciting, hands-on stations including face painting, a craft table, an obstacle course, and more.
Join us to provide happy faces and full tummies at our kick-off event. Sign up here.
