National Volunteer Month - Center of Hope Makeover

Apr 13 10:30 AM-1:30 PM
REACH
3604 NE 10th Court, Seattle, 98056

April is National Volunteer Month and we are calling all volunteers to join forces to serve 365 hours in a single month.

Emerging Leaders 365 are hosting volunteer projects on Saturdays, April 6 and April 13. Projects are designed to serve an immediate need in the community with trusted organizations and partners. As we work side-by-side with communities to build an equitable future for everyone, your support is invaluable. Volunteer with youth at Coyote Central, children at risk of homelessness at Birthday Dreams, and/or help families in need of shelter and basic needs items.

When you come to two or more volunteer month projects, you’ll receive free tickets to our next Happy Hour & Hellos event, complete with drink tokens and prizes.

Join REACH at a pivotal stage of their Center of Hope Makeover Project, where their primary focus is on renewing the family shelter. This event specifically centers on revitalizing our food storage systems. Volunteers will aid in sorting and organizing all food donations and cleaning food storage spaces for a fresh new start. Your involvement will empower our staff to efficiently plan meals and minimize food waste. Your support in this endeavor will play a vital role in establishing a more organized and efficient environment, benefiting both those we serve and the broader community. Join us as we make a positive impact.

Check out other National Volunteer Month opportunities:

  1. Coyote Central – April 6
  2. Birthday Dreams – April 13

This opportunity is hosted by young professionals but all are welcome! By participating you will receive similar opportunities emailed to you bimonthly. Each opportunity supports United Way of King County’s mission to build an equitable future for everyone, we envision continuing to reimagine and reform historically exclusionary systems—side by side with our community.
