Anyone who has walked the streets of Seattle is no stranger to the homelessness crisis facing our region. Ending homelessness is a core focus area for United Way of King County and we are working with many partners on effective solutions. Mary’s Place is one such partner that is a leading voice for homeless women, children, and families in emergency situations. They empower families to reclaim their lives by offering community, acceptance, hope and dignity.
Join us for our Second Saturday volunteering and help the Mary’s Place North Seattle Family Shelter in their mission to help women and families in need. Our tasks for the day may include: Helping sort through incoming donations, re-stocking supplies and assisting with deep cleaning around the shelter to keep families safe and comfortable.
Thanks to Microsoft for helping Emerging Leaders fight homelessness this quarter.
