Connect for Good: Family Market Nights

Nov 28 6:00 PM-8:30 PM
United Way King County Building
720 Second Avenue, Seattle, 98104

When families no longer have to choose between food on the table and a roof overhead, our entire community wins. Our Fuel Your Future work connects kids to nutritious food—during the school year and beyond.

Join us for our next Connect for Good opportunity for a more in-depth volunteer experience around issues of hunger and food insecurity in our local neighborhoods. Participants learn from experts on the issue, roll up their sleeves to volunteer, and fundraise $150 to support effective solutions. The experience culminates in the group of 25 Emerging Leaders planning and facilitating fun activities for elementary school children and their families at Family Market Nights at local schools.

Note that this is a multiple day volunteering opportunity and participants will need to commit to the following schedule:

Wednesday 11/28 (6pm – 8:30pm)

·       Introduction to United Way: Overview of Four Focus Areas

·       Part 1: Fuel Your Future 101

·       Part 1: Fundraising 101/ basics/ best practices
