United Way of King County’s Eat, Drink & Be Generous on June 1 at the Paramount Theatre is a sold-out event!  The evening will be filled with unique tastes from top local chefs and restaurants.  DJ Eva Walker of the Black Tones will emcee and everyone will be bumpin’ to the sounds of the legendary Sir Mix-A-Lot!

This FAQ will prepare attendees for a memorable night:

What will my donation go?

Eat, Drink & Be Generous event proceeds will go toward ensuring everyone has a safe place to call home, enough to eat and a job that pays a livable wage.

How is this event different from other auction fundraisers?

The evening will be focused on eating and drinking, with the freedom to move around the Paramount and connect with friends, new and old.   The event is all about celebrating good food, good friends and giving to a great cause! There will be various ways to donate throughout the evening.

I purchased a table/block of tickets; how do I register my guests?

This event will use an online RSVP system to help collect attendee information. If you don’t know all of your guest’s information when initially registering, that’s okay! Once you register, you will receive an email with instructions on how you can invite your guests to RSVP. That email will contain a specific URL that is attached to your table. Once your guest(s) click the link and fill out their information, they will be automatically added to your reservation. If you need any help with this process, please email eventregisration@uwkc.org.

We’ll be enjoying cuisine from Melissa Miranda’s Musang and Trey Lamont’s Jerk Shack

If I don’t have an assigned table/seat, where will I sit?

Open tables and seating will be available on the main floor.  Venture up to the mezzanine to check out the Belonging Bar and even more open seating.  Not sure where to meet up with your friends?  Tell them to all meet at Gravy to kick off the night!

What is the Belonging Bar?

The Belonging Bar is on the mezzanine level and will offer special cocktails for donors, as well as information about United Way’s giving communities:  Champions, Change Makers and Emerging Leaders 365.

Should I pre-register my credit card before the event?  Is it worth it?

YES.  By pre-registering your credit card, your registration process will be much faster and smoother.  It will be one less task to tackle when you arrive on June 1.

What is the suggested attire for this event?

Party attire encouraged. Think festive, fun and bold! Jeans are acceptable. Leave your tux at home.

What restaurants will be at the event?

COMMUNION, Ethan Stowell Restaurants, Gravy, Hello Robin, Jerk Shack, Mamnoon, Meesha, Métier Brewing Company, Molly Moon’s Ice Cream, Musang, Sea Creatures, Tom Douglas and Co.

I have dietary restrictions; will my requests be accommodated at this event?

We will feature numerous small plates from different chefs.  There will be some gluten free, vegetarian, vegan and dairy free options available.

Where can I park?

The Paramount Theatre does not have its own parking lot. There is a loading zone on 9th Avenue and Pine Street to drop off passengers. There are several pay lots in the area as well as metered street parking. There are also multi-level garages at the Grand Hyatt’s 7th and Pike S Garage, the Seattle Convention Center and in Pacific Place mall.

My plans have changed; can I get a refund?

We understand that plans can change, but we cannot accommodate refund requests for this event. However, we are happy to transfer your ticket to someone else. If you need to transfer your ticket, please contact eventregistration@uwkc.org.
