Annual Community BBQ

A partnership between Doug Baldwin Jr. and United Way of King County

June 18, 2022
11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Renton Memorial Stadium / Renton, WA

As communities throughout King County sheltered in place and took care of each other these past two years, we’ve all been dreaming of getting back together outside in a big way. We’re bringing this dream to life with the first Annual Community BBQ! We’re firing up the grill to warm up the community and EVERYONE is invited!

The Annual Community BBQ offers a chance to gather with friends and make new ones. Enjoy music and dancing, delicious BBQ, carnivalesque fare and family-friendly games, a maze of bouncy houses and inflatables, playing catch with Doug Baldwin Jr. and his friends, and a few other surprises!

For only $10 per plate, this signature open-air event will give you exclusive access to:

  • Mouth-watering BBQ from the best local pitmasters (+ plenty of vegan, vegetarian and halal options)
  • Sought-after food from vendors across the PNW
  • Live DJ and entertainment
  • Inflatable area, face painting, balloon animals (KidsQuest Children’s Museum and Lego Guild will be there too!)
  • Youth connections, community conversations and networking opportunities with your local elected officials, youth leaders and nonprofits
  • Activities sponsored by the Seattle Kraken and the Seattle Seahawks

And so much more coming soon! Check back for more updates.

Join us in this celebration of showing up for each other. Let’s grill up a good time!

By RSVPing, you’re also playing your part in fighting food waste—we’ll know how much food to prepare so all our neighbors can enjoy it AND there’s zero food wasted. Win-win! Proceeds from the Annual Community BBQ go toward hunger relief.

Doug Baldwin Jr., Michael Bennett and Cliff Avril are equally respected for their success in influencing change in their collaborations with community organizations.
