Calling all crafty Emerging Leaders (and some who are not as into crafting)! We need your help bundling materials, making signs and leaving messages at schools all to encourage participation in The Breakfast Challenge. With your help we’ll be able to reach many, many more people which will lead to more kids having access to nutritious breakfast. Plus, you’ll hear a little bit about how United Way is increasing financial stability for families in King County through advocacy in Olympia and working within local schools.
For the project, we’ll split into smaller groups with some working on bundling packets of materials for distribution, another team creating handmade posters that will be hung in school cafeterias and hallways, and the final team calling local schools (with a script) to encourage them to participate in The Breakfast Challenge. Since it’s a Saturday, you’ll be leaving voicemails of support.
