During the month of April create a warm and welcoming space for two and three-year old children to read and learn with their caregivers at home. You will make a no-sew throw blanket and pillow and purchase a culturally-relevant book to give to a child in the ParentChild+ program at Horn of Africa Services.
Here are the supplies you’ll need to gather to join in the fun:
- No-sew blanket: select ONE of the following options:
- A JOANN no-sew blanket kit (48”), OR
- 5 ½ yards fleece fabric (enough for two 56″ x 70″ rectangles)
- No-sew pillows:
- Pillow insert (10”-24”)
- Two squares of fleece 6” longer than pillow insert (ex: for a 10” pillow, you will need two 16” squares of fleece)
- Scissors
- One or more of the following books:
