This is a virtual volunteer opportunity:
The Emerging Leaders 365 Connect for Good: Fighting Hunger is an ad hoc group that will be comprised of 25- 40 Emerging Leaders 365 committed to United Way’s work. As the coronavirus pandemic deepens the economy’s woes, more and more families are having trouble putting food on the table. Emerging Leaders 365 will get to learn the importance of food security, access and the critical work organizations are doing to make sure all children have access to nutritious food during COVID- 19.
Fighting Hunger Team Members will be phone banking to connect community members with critical resources during COVID-19. Volunteers will call neighbors in our community to provide information about meals sites, food banks, public benefits programs (like SNAP and WIC), and other community resources.
