Learn the Techniques of Tamales with Frelard Tamales

November 16 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

$50

Have you ever wanted to learn how to make tamales? Well now is your chance! Invite your friends over and join us virtually to learn how to make tamales alongside Frelard Tamales‘ co-founders and master chefs, Dennis Ramey and Osbaldo Hernandez. Dennis and Osbaldo will teach guests how to cook some of their authentic handmade tamales that come from Osbaldo’s family who is from Puerto Vallarta in the west coast of Mexico. Plus, you’ll also hear more about United Way’s work to end homelessness in King County—and how you can continue the impact.

Your meal kit will provide you with all the ingredients you need to make delicious tamales at home! Please note that you will need a steamer or Instant Pot to cook the tamales.

Each kit includes the following: (each kit serves 2 adults)

  • Fresh vegan masa to make 6 (1/2 lb.) tamales
  • Choice of filling (meat, vegetarian or vegan)
  • Corn husks for tamales
  • Ties to wrap the tamales
  • Salsa, sour cream and pickled veggies
  • (2) prepared individual salads with house-made mango vinaigrette
