El Centro de la Raza works on behalf of the Latino community with services that address immediate needs like hunger, health, and homelessness, as well as programs that promote self-sufficiency and empower the community. They provide a multitude of opportunities for youth, including bilingual and multicultural services, afterschool mentoring, and workshops that deal with complex subjects like social change and community activism.
Their annual GALA Auction fundraiser is coming up, and they need our help! Lend a hand after work as we beautify their outside space and prep materials for the auction inside – this means anything from sorting fliers to mail to creating giveaways for attendees. It’s just one evening of work for Emerging Leaders, but the work we do will help El Centro fund its community work for the year to come!
