Volunteer after work with Rainier Valley Corps

April 28, 2016 @ 5:30 pm - 8:30 pm

Join a group of Emerging Leaders to help with registration, greet incoming guests, monitor food and utensils, and provide an extra set of hands during and after Rainier Valley Corps’ quarterly event.

The volunteer work itself will be quick, but very helpful! The best part is seeing and participating in the event – it’s free and includes yummy food and drink. Better yet, it’s a chance to build community with other leaders and advocates.

The overall vision of Rainier Valley Corps is to cultivate young leaders of color to strengthen the capacity of community of color-led nonprofits in the Rainier Valley neighborhood of Seattle. The RVC Fellowship program matches ten upcoming leaders of color with community-based organizations in Rainier Valley to strengthen the organization’s capacity and help with their community building efforts.

It will be a great chance to give back, hear about the work of Rainier Valley Corps, and learn more about what’s happening in the Rainier Valley neighborhood. Email Cassandra to sign up.
