Night Out For Caring

Party With a Purpose at Safeco Field

Along with 1,800 of our newest friends, on Sept. 21, United Way celebrated our community at the 2018 Night Out for Caring at Safeco Field—and it was a blast.

Now that the competition is over, Michelle Ludtka and Jordan Babineaux can go back to being friends.

Stormtroopers, Darth Vader, and even an Ewok or two joined the Mariner Moose for selfies. Partygoers explored the dugouts, batting cages and other Safeco hot spots like they owned the place. And during the hilarious Celebrity Sprint for Kids relay, Dan Wilson, Taylor Graham, Jordan Babineaux and others raced around the outfield in a crayon costume to represent the theme of the evening: supporting early learning programs for low-income kids.

Every child deserves a chance to succeed in school, and every person at this party with a purpose stood up for that. We raised over $550,000 for the Parent-Child Home Program. We can’t wait to do it again next year!

It’s never too late to give kids a strong start in school.
