The joy of opening birthday presents, blowing out the candles after your friends sing “Happy Birthday,” and, of course, cake. They’re such simple rites of childhood birthdays. But when you’re a kid experiencing homelessness, your family doesn’t often have the space or resources to throw a party.

That’s the reality of many kids in communities across King County.

It doesn’t have to be like that. Some of our Emerging Leaders have a unique view on this problem. They teamed up with Birthday Dreams to do something about it. Take a look!
