Having been born and raised in King County, I was happy to find a non-profit I believe is truly attempting to do the most good for the people who need it most. United Way aligns with my values and allows me to give back to my community.

Fun Fact: The first gingerbread house I ever made from scratch was a scale replica of my own house that included gummy bear windows and a chocolate mailbox; I like making art!

I’ve been connected to the United Way in some capacity throughout my entire professional career and didn’t want to miss an opportunity to give back even more. I’m relatively new to Seattle, but I’m excited to learn about and contribute to the community on a deeper level through Emerging Leaders 365!

Fun Fact: I am a professional singer and release music under my artist name, DeMaur.
