El Centro De La Raza
2524 16th Ave S, Seattle, 98144
Craft flowers and organize auction items for El Centro De La Raza, a community organization rooted in the Latino community.

Join us on Saturday, September 9 for a monthly volunteer opportunity to support El Centro De La Raza as they prepare for their annual Building the Beloved Community Gala on Saturday October 14.  El Centro De La Raza, located in south Seattle’s Beacon Hill neighborhood, is centered around the Latino community. Their annual gala raises funds for vital programs and services that benefit more than 21,000 individuals and families across our region!

Tasks will include: creating paper flower decorations to be used at the convention center, organizing auction items, conducting telephone outreach to community members and past auction guests, as well as additional tasks as needed.

Let’s celebrate culture and work toward equality as we help El Centro de la Raza prepare for another season of giving back to community.

Volunteer with us!

This opportunity is hosted by young professionals and all are welcome! By participating you will receive similar opportunities emailed to you bimonthly. Each opportunity supports United Way of King County’s mission to create racially just communities where all people have homes, students graduate, and families are financially stable.

You will need to show proof of vaccination to participate in this opportunity.

“Hi everyone, I’m excited to get hands-on in the community with you. We can also continue to get to know each other and grab a coffee or beverage afterwards at a local business. One of my passions is attending live concerts so we’ll have plenty to chat about.”

“I volunteer to spread love while living into my values. Let’s spread love together.”
