What do we love even more than our Seattle Seahawks on game day?? . . .  Our Seattle Seahawks doing great things in our community for kids!

More than a dozen Seahawks were all in on Tuesday’s Hometown Huddle at Southwest Boys & Girls Club for a day of service with United Way. Groups of volunteers from Concur, Costco and Microsoft came together to create a great afternoon of activities for more than 100 kids in White Center.

Joining the players were some of the Sea Gals and mascot Blitz, for an assembly where they announced a large donation of equipment for the club’s youth football program. After the assembly, the players and Sea Gals played with the kids and talked about the importance of leading an active and healthy lifestyle.

Each of the players declared their own version of “I’m in’ with the kids. Nolan Frese and Germain Ifedi spent time reading one-on-one with the kids. George Fant and Kenny Lawler encouraged kids to be active—in relay races and even on the basketball court. And Alex Collins showed off his Irish dancing skills!

Special thanks to Microsoft employee Gautam Dambekodi who contributed to this month’s Microsoft Giving Auction to participate in the fun. Active kids, Seattle Seahawks giving back and people being generous – what’s not to love?!
