Explore Our New Volunteer Website

By United Way of King County Posted on October 6, 2016 In Volunteering

Like being part of something good? Then you’ll love this.

You can now create your profile on our shiny, easy-to-use new volunteer website!

Volunteerism makes our world go round here at United Way. We couldn’t do our work without volunteers—those who help with our events, who serve on our board and committees, and who support our partner nonprofits too. When it comes to building a better community, volunteers are all in in together.

United Way connects 33,000 people each year to volunteer opportunities. That’s HUGE. And it’s about to get huge-er with our new volunteer website. We sure hope you’ll be one of them and create your volunteer account!

Why the upgrade?

Because we’re nothing without you. So we’re dialing up our efforts to befriend more amazing people like you and send you out to do equally amazing things for our community.

In our strategic plan, we outline our overall goal to build a community where people have homes, students graduate and families are financially stable. Volunteers are key in doing all of that!

Your profile awaits

A volunteer account is easy to create and once you’re in, you’re golden:

  • Find events and volunteer opportunities, solo, group, one-time or ongoing.
  • Get personalized volunteer opps based on the nonprofits, focus interest areas and activities you choose.
  • Follow your favorite nonprofits to be in on their news—and new volunteer opportunities.
  • Generate your volunteer resume—including how much money your volunteer impact is worth!

One of our favorite new features? The sharing! Now you can fill your social media accounts with your do-good goodness.

All this in one new place for our dearest volunteers like you.
